Our Story

We are simply thrilled to be the new owners of Simply Borrowed! We are a small, locally-owned business conveniently located just west of Fort Wayne in Columbia City at 645 Countryside Drive. Simply Borrowed is currently owned and operated by Jody Hoeppner and Kurstyn Heineman, a mother and daughter team who purchased it in the Spring of  2024. 

 

As one might suspect, the idea for Simply Borrowed was developed from being involved in the planning process of weddings where the decorating was all DIY. We are a mother-daughter team who enjoy planning and designing celebrations; whether it is finding the ideal piece that fits perfectly into a desired aesthetic or providing awe-inspiring ideas for a special occasion. We know from personal experience that it takes a lot of time, money, and effort to find and purchase all your speciality decor to make your event stunning and then you have to find where to store everything afterwards - that's where Simply Borrowed comes in!
